If you want to transfer all the content of your website and emails from another provider to Sered, the first thing you need to do is hire a Hosting service that suits your needs.
For example, if you have three domains with their respective websites and in total occupy 20 GB of disk space at your current provider, you must hire a Hosting plan at Sered that has enough space and features to host that information.
Access to the Migration System
Once you have hired the Hosting service, you can request the migration from the Sered client area. In the left side menu, you will find the “Migrations” option.
By clicking on this section, you will be presented with several types of available migrations. Below, we explain the main ones:
Free Migration:
This option allows you to request a migration at no additional cost. You must complete a form with all the necessary information to carry it out.
Once submitted, your request will be added to the migration queue and will be handled by a technician in order of arrival. The technician will review the data provided and evaluate the migration status.
If any questions arise or additional information is needed, the technician may contact you via Sered chat, email, or phone call.
Priority Migration with Assistance:
This type of migration has an additional cost. When selecting it, you will be informed of the corresponding amount. If you accept, an invoice will be generated that you must pay to proceed.
Once payment is made, your migration will move to the first place in the queue, right after the ongoing migration. That is, it stops being at the end of the list and is prioritized for execution.
It is important to note that this does not guarantee that the migration will be carried out the same day, as it will depend on factors such as the volume of data or the limitations of the source server.
Information Needed to Perform the Migration
To make the process as agile and effective as possible, we recommend providing all available information about the content you wish to migrate:
Username and password of the previous hosting (if possible, disable two-factor authentication during the migration).
Specific hosting details: custom DNS, modified records, subdomains, scheduled tasks (cron jobs), mail forwarders and filters, etc.
Complete list of email accounts with their passwords. This will allow us to synchronize the accounts without needing to modify them.
Username and password of the domain registrar, in case you want to change the DNS or transfer the domain to Sered.
Once the form is completed, click on "Finish" so that your request is sent and enters the migration queue.
Next, you will see a summary of the data you have provided and will be able to check the migration progress.
