Creating a DNS zone without hosting in Sered is quite easy and you can do it directly from the client area. You can follow the instructions we provide below:
Log in to the Client Area in Sered
First, you need to go to the Sered client area, and enter your email address along with the password you used to register on the Sered.net website.
Go to the “Domains” Section
Once there, you must look for the left side menu and click on “SERVICES”, which will display a submenu with the option “DOMAINS”.
Access the Domain Manager
When you enter, you will find a variety of icons, and one of them is a gear with the option “MANAGE DOMAINS”, where you need to click.
Go to Nameservers
Next, you will see information related to your domain such as “General Information”, “Cancellation”, “NameServers”, “Renew Domains”, and “More”. You must go to the “NAMESERVERS” tab and click on it, where you will find several fields where you can modify the address your domain points to. After completing this step, you must click the button “CREATE/EDIT DNS ZONE”.
Click on the “Understood” Button
Afterwards, a pop-up window will appear as shown in the image below, and you simply need to click the “Understood” button.
Create the DNS Zone
If you are creating a DNS zone without hosting for the first time, a message will appear stating that the DNS zone does not exist and asking if you want to create a new one. To continue, you must select the green button “YES, CREATE ZONE”.
If you consider that creating and editing a DNS zone without hosting is difficult for you, you can open a ticket from the client area so that our technical team can help you with what you need.
