How to Change the Account Owner or Billing Information?

In this guide, you will learn how to update billing information or transfer services between Sered accounts.

👉 Note: Only web hosting products and domains can be transferred.


1. Create a New Sered Account

If you want to change the billing information of your current account or you don’t yet have a Sered account, follow these steps:

  1. If you already have an active session, log out first, or use an incognito window, or try a different browser.

  2. Fill out the form with the correct billing information and create the new account.


2. Transfer Services

There are two important steps:

  1. The owner of the account sending the services must authorize the transfer.

  2. The owner of the account receiving the services must confirm acceptance.

This way, we ensure that the movement is authorized by both parties.

The transfer can be carried out through the tools available in the platform:


1. Log in to the Sered Client Area

You must log in to the Sered Client Area using the account where the services and domains are currently located.

2. Request the Transfer from the Account with the Services and Domains

Go to “SERVICES” and select “TRANSFERS BETWEEN CLIENTS”. Then click on “TRANSFER”. This applies to both domains and hosting.

Next, a field will open where you must enter the recipient’s email address.

Once a transfer is requested, it will remain pending under your account in the “OUTGOING” tab. From there, you can cancel it if you want.

3. Approve the Transfer from the Other Sered Account

When the other client logs into their Client Area, they will see a pending request in the “INCOMING” section. To approve it, they must click on the “ACCEPT” button.

If the client does not accept the transfer within 5 days, it will be automatically canceled.

In this way, you can transfer Sered products between users easily and in just a few minutes.


Contact Technical Support

If you are unable to transfer the products directly from the platform, you must contact Sered’s technical support.

Follow these instructions:

  • From the account where the products are currently located:

Open a ticket or write to [email protected] with the following message:

I would like to transfer the following products and domains from my Sered account (linked email: [your current email])   to the Sered account linked to the email: [new account email].    Products/Domains to be transferred:   - example1.com   - Hosting Plan S - example1.com   - [add the rest of the services here]
  • From the receiving account:

You must also open a ticket or send an email to [email protected] with the following message:

I confirm that I would like to receive in my Sered account (linked email: [your current email])   the following products and domains from the Sered account with email: [other account email].    Products/Domains to be received:   - example1.com   - Hosting Plan S - example1.com   - [add the rest of the services here]

Tip: To speed up the process, always include the exact list of products and domains you want to transfer.
