Do you want to know how to create custom DNS in a simple way? In this guide, we will show you how to create custom DNS in a fairly simple way.
How to create Custom DNS?
To create custom DNS, you must follow these steps:
Sered IP Address for DNS
First, you need to know which IP addresses are being used in Sered.net. In this case, the two IP addresses that the custom DNS should point to are:
188.165.135.58
185.162.170.22
Access the Client Area in Sered
Next, you must access the client area in Sered, using the email and the password that you used to register on our website.
Go to the cPanel Control Panel
Then, you must click on the “ENTER CPANEL” button to access the control panel.
Find the "Domains" section
Afterwards, you must go to the “DOMAINS” section, where you will find the “ZONE EDITOR” tool, and click on it.
Access the +A Record in the Zone Editor
When you reach the “ZONE EDITOR”, you must search for the domain for which you want to create DNS. Simply click on the “+A RECORD” button.
Add a +A Record
Finally, enter the custom DNS, such as: ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com. The IP address must be the same cPanel IP address found in step 1.
How to create Glue Records?
Next, we will provide you with the steps you need to follow to create Glue Records.
Go to the "Domains" section
After that, you must go to the left side menu and click on “SERVICES” to view the “DOMAINS” section.
Go to the Domain Manager
When you access the domain manager, you will be able to see all the domains you have registered with Sered. Therefore, you need to search for the domain for which you want to create Glue Records and click on “MANAGE DOMAINS”.
Find the Glue Records option
Then, you must click on the “MORE” tab, and immediately a menu with several options will appear, one of which is “GLUE RECORDS”, which you must click on.
Create the Glue Records
In this new window, you can add “ns1 or ns2”, as needed, as well as the IP addresses from step 1 of the custom DNS section of this guide. Finally, make sure to save the changes.
