Updated over 2 weeks ago

Do you know how to cancel or terminate a service? In this post we bring you today we will show you how to cancel or terminate a service.

Cancel a service from the Sered client area

Cancel the hosting service

If you want to cancel a service you must do it from the Sered Client Area. In this case we will be cancelling a hosting contracted with Sered. To do this follow the following steps.

Step 1

Click on «Services» and then on «Hosting / Products» where you will see on the right side section, the option to manage your service, as well as «Request Cancellation» to request the cancellation:

Step 2

Next you must fill out the form.

Enter the reasons for the cancellation and choose the corresponding option in the type of cancellation:

– Immediate: If you want the cancellation to take place at that very moment. If you select this step keep in mind that the cancellation means the deletion of all the information associated with the product.

– End of the contracting period: If you want your product to remain active until the end of the period you have paid.

Once sent, the sales department will receive the notification and will proceed accordingly.

Cancel a domain

If what you want is to cancel a domain, follow the following steps:

Step 1

You must click on the dropdown menu «Services» and then on «Domains«.

Step 2

Click on the button with the gear wheel with the option «Manage Domain» of the domain you want to cancel.

Step 3

Access the «Cancellation» tab and click on the dropdown menu to select «I do not want to renew the domain«. To finish, click on «Ok«.

This action causes the domain to automatically expire on the due date that corresponds to it. The system will not generate an invoice for this domain and in the case that an invoice already existed, it will be cancelled.

Note: If your services are domiciled in the bank, you must take into account that you must request the cancellation at least 8 days before the invoice due date. If you request the cancellation later, the service will already be renewed and you will have to face said payment.
