Cache memory is the information that is temporarily stored in the browser on our computer. This record includes images, sounds, and downloads. Below, we show the process to follow to clear the cache in the following browsers:
Internet Explorer 6.x – 7
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Go to the Tools menu at the top and click on Internet Options.
Now at the top click on General.
In Temporary Internet Files click on Delete Files.
Check the appropriate box in Delete all offline content.
Finish the changes by clicking OK.
Internet Explorer 8
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Go to the Tools menu at the top and click on Internet Options.
Now at the top click on General.
Before clicking Delete, make sure that at least Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History are selected.
Finish by clicking Delete.
Internet Explorer 9 and 10
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Now at the top right go to Tools and Internet Options.
Go to the General tab and click on Delete in the Browsing History section.
It is recommended that you check at least Temporary Internet Files and Cookies.
Click Delete and finally OK.
Internet Explorer 11
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
At the top right of the browser, click on the gear icon.
Click on Safety and then on Delete browsing history.
Check the options Temporary Internet Files and Website files at a minimum.
To finish, click Delete.
Microsoft Edge
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Then go to the top right and click on the icon with 3 dots (…).
Select Choose what to clear in the Clear browsing data section.
You must select at least Cookies and saved website data, and Cached data and files.
Finish by clicking Clear.
Mozilla Firefox
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Go to the Tools menu and click on Preferences.
Press Advanced -> Network -> Clear Now which is next to Cache.
Finish with OK.
Mozilla and Netscape
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
In the menu, click on Edit and select Preferences.
Now click on (+) next to Advanced.
In Advanced, check Cache and then click on Clear Cache.
Finish with OK.
Safari
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
In the toolbar, open the Safari menu.
Click on Preferences -> Privacy.
You will see a section called Cookies and Website Data.
Click on Remove All Website Data and finish with Remove Now.
Google Chrome
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Go to the Chrome menu which is represented by 3 horizontal lines at the top right.
Click on More tools and then on Clear browsing data.
Select the boxes you want to delete.
At the top, a drop-down appears that says Delete stored items from: to erase everything select the beginning of time.
To finish, click Clear browsing data.
Opera
First, we must close all the windows we have open.
Open the Settings menu and check Delete private data.
Now check the box Clear cache, although other parameters can also be checked additionally.
To finish, click Delete.
