When you make changes or modifications to your website, there is a risk that those changes will negatively affect your site, but you can avoid this by using the staging function from Installatron.
If you have never heard of this term, in this tutorial you will learn how it can help you so that your website is not in any danger by simply creating a staging environment.
What is a staging website?
A Staging website is known as a testing or development site that allows you to make any type of modifications before publishing a change. In other words, it functions as a tool where you can experiment without the risk of damaging something.
Staging means "staging" or "staging," it comes from the English word stage which means stage. This means that it functions as an independent copy of your site so that you can do trial and error tests.
You can create a staging from a new blank website or create an exact copy of an existing site.
What is the staging site for Installatron used for?
Installatron is a very popular and easy-to-use cPanel tool, which allows access to more than 130 web applications, including staging which is useful for creating an exact copy of your website on a different domain or subdomain and making the changes you want, such as:
✅ Installing plugins that may cause damage to the site.
✅ Changing the template or theme of WordPress.
✅ Creating new sections of your website.
✅ Adding code for other functions.
✅ Changing or updating the PHP version of WordPress.
The best part is that when you make a change and it turns out as you expected, you don't have to do it again on the actual page, but you can synchronize the staging with your website, so they will be replicated on the page automatically.

When filling in the "SUBDOMAIN" field, the root directory will be automatically completed, at the end click "SEND" to save the changes.
DNS can interfere if a subdomain can be used to create a staging site, for example, if the domain has CloudFlare DNS, the configuration must be edited by adding the entry.

Then go to the "SOFTWARE" section where the "INSTALLATRON APPLICATIONS INSTALLER" tool is located.
Installatron allows you to import a complete website to Sered, simply by providing the FTP data from your old hosting provider.

Select the subdomain you created in step 5 by expanding the list where it says "DOMAIN", then choose whether you want to create a Staging site as indicated by the arrow, the other settings are optional and you can leave them as they are.
The "PATH" option should remain blank since the cloned site can be installed in the subdirectory of the subdomain.
Click on "Clone"
You must click on the "CLONE" button located in the lower right corner, this way you will have your cloned site that is on the new subdomain. All the configurations that the real website has are the same as those found in the cloned site.
